SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — CSM announces that Reinoud Plantenberg will transfer his
responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of CSM Bakery Supplies North America
(BSNA) to Bret Weaver as per May 1, 2010, anticipating his retirement. Mr.
Weaver currently holds the position of President and CEO of H.C. Brill, one of
CSM’s largest business units in North America. Mr. Weaver joined CSM in 1996 and
has held several executive positions in the field of strategy, business
development and general management, including President of several of its
operating companies. Prior to joining CSM, Mr. Weaver held several consumer
marketing and general management positions, the last being President & CEO at
Golden Dipt Company, a Division of DCA Food Industries Inc. (a subsidiary of
Allied Lyons P.L.C. until 1995 when DCA was acquired by Kerry Ingredients). Mr.
Weaver’s current industry involvement includes serving as a board member of the
Allied Trades to the Baking Industry. He has also served on the boards of the
National Bakery Supply Association, the Bakery Distributors of America and the
National Food Distributors Association Manufacturers Council.
CSM also announces the appointment of Ron Savelli as President and CEO of H.C.
Brill as per May 1, 2010, upon Bret Weaver’s full transition into the new role
of CEO for CSM’s North American business. Mr. Savelli joined CSM in 2003 and
currently holds the position of President and CEO of Caravan Ingredients located
in Lenexa, Kansas. Prior to joining CSM, Mr. Savelli was with the Boston Market
– Einstein Brothers – New World Restaurant Group as Vice President of Product
Development and Vice President Operational & Technical Services. He then went on
to form a privately held consulting firm that provided consultation services in
the areas of marketing and operations to the foodservice and food manufacturing
industry.
Mr. Savelli is also a Board Member of various bakery trade associations.
