Boston’s Piantedosi Baking Company Dispels Closing Rumors, Undergoing Expansion

MALDEN — Joe Piantedosi is quick to clarify any rumors of a shut down surrounding the popular, local bakery his family has run for more than a century.

“We’re expanding, not closing,” says Piantedosi Baking Company’s executive vice president. “We’re bigger and stronger than ever.”

Piantedosi Baking Company has been a staple of the North Shore for over 100 years, originating on Main Street in Everett. It moved to Malden in 1975, but has since expanded to three locations.
