Bimbo Bakeries USA announced Monday it is closing its bakery in Sioux Falls in September.
The company will shift production to bakeries in Kansas and Nebraska.
“Making the decision to close a facility is never an easy one,” said Edgar Jaramillo, Vice President, Region Operations for Bimbo Bakeries USA, in a news release. “After careful analysis and consideration, we determined it is most efficient to redistribute production to other bakeries in our system to better meet market demand.”
