Fans of Tartine’s fresh baked bread are legion — and can often be found standing in epic lines at the Guererro Street bakery to get warm loaves.
In recent years, however, smart folks who might not have the patience to wait in line at either the original Tartine Bakery or the newer Tartine Manufactory could also find a selection of Tartine breads at a handful of San Francisco retailers, such as the Market on Market Street and Bi-Rite.
Recently, a sign was posted in The Market’s bread aisle stating that the bakery was “refocusing their efforts and will no longer be selling their breads outside of their locations” and that the last expected delivery of bread would be today, January 11.
