ABA Goes Back To The Table To Address Revisions To Food Safety Proposals

On Friday, Sept. 19, FDA released revisions to four FSMA related rules. ABA has started its review of the relevant new proposals on preventive controls for human food, preventive controls for animal food fda-logoand the foreign supplier verification program. The fourth rule, produce safety does not impact bakers. FDA’s re-proposals seek to make the rules more flexible, practical and targeted. ABA will hold a conference call in mid-October with FTRAC and the Legal Committee to review and develop the industry’s response strategy. Comments will be due in December.
