ABA Congratulates FDA Commissioner Gottlieb On Confirmation

Washington, D.C. – ABA congratulates Dr. Scott Gottlieb on his confirmation as the new FDA Commissioner.

“Commissioner Gottlieb brings seasoned agency experience as well as practical, hands on expertise to FDA. ABA looks forward to working with Commissioner Gottlieb and his team on food safety and nutrition policy issues impacting bakers, their suppliers and consumers alike for the betterment of public health,” said ABA President and CEO, Robb MacKie.

“As one of the co-chairs for the Food and Beverage Issue Alliance (FBIA), a group of 40 food trade organizations, ABA is anxious to get to work with Commissioner Gottlieb and his team to address issues of importance to the food industry and to provide clear, concise information for American consumers for both nutrition policy and food safety,” added Lee Sanders, ABA Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Public Affairs.
