American Pan Co. needs some oven mitts — its baking pan business is hot.
The Urbana-based manufacturer is expanding its industrial and retail pan production operation by 40,000 square feet and adding 30 full- and 20 part-time or temporary positions in the next three years.
President Gilbert Bundy attributed the need to recent market expansion and success with its USA Pan retail line.
“We’re fortunate to be experiencing sales growth on two fronts,” he said in a release. “First, we are seeing an increase in international sales of our custom industrial pans and second, we have experienced tremendous growth in our retail brand.”
