Yes, whole grains are trendy — it was even recently reported that sliced wheat bread is outselling white for the first time. But do these little, wholesome grains live up to the hoopla?
Yes, they do, experts say.
In fact, whole grains, whether they be in bread, pastas, crackers, rice or other snacks, are a more healthful alternative to refined grains. They may be brown and taste different from their refined counterparts, but whole grains are the power food of your diet. And absorbing them into your daily menu isn't too difficult.
