Bancroft, Wis.; August 24, 2010, – RPE recently expanded their national and local area staff with three new additions in the areas of sales, agronomy, and logistics.
In sales, Darren White has joined the sales staff of RPE’s newly opened Colorado branch in Monte Vista, Colo. White joins RPE after spending nine years with Farm Fresh, where he helped earn the “2009 Colorado Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting” after establishing a potato export program into Mexico.
White is excited to be joining RPE’s team saying, “It’s going to be great to be a part of a true team atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of building a great name for RPE right here in my home area of the San Luis Valley of Colorado, as well as building the company’s great reputation nationwide.”
In the Agronomy Department, RPE recently hired John Kennicker as RPE Research Technician to assist Senior Agronomist, Michael Copas in crop research. Kennicker received his master’s degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics at North Dakota State University and most recently worked at the Iowa State University Extension Office, where he performed many various research and educational duties.
Kennicker says he enjoys a challenge and that working with potatoes for the first time will provide him with that opportunity.
Finally in logistics, Roland Rieflin brings years of experience to RPE’s transportation department. Rieflin joins RPE from G&P Distributing where he spent the last year as operations manager and has 13 years of previous experience with McDermid Transportation as a freight manager.
Rieflin says he decided to join the RPE team because he had a desire to get back into the shipping and agricultural side of the industry.
