Freedom Bakery & Confections has moved from its Freedom Boulevard location to the Strawberry Business Center, located at 125 Hangar Way in Watsonville.
“The move was part of our expansion plan to account for the growth we were experiencing in our wholesale and corporate sales channels,” said Paul Liu, general manager and second-generation owner of Freedom Bakery. “In the latter half of 2008, sales in those areas slowed dramatically, which led to less space requirements. We then made the decision to delay the expansion to preserve operating capital and ride out the (economic) downturn.”
FB&C is a family-owned-and-operated bakery. It was founded in 1975 and offers cakes for all occasions, as well as a wide selection of edible gifts. The business also sells cookies, pies and other desserts. In 2007, the bakery introduced a new line of premium Belgian chocolate products and added confections to its name.
