With a new family look for its bread, snacks and sandwich packaging along with the tagline, “We bake really good stuff,” Kangaroo is playing up the health benefits of its products.

Specialty Breads
New breads are: Itsy-Bitsy Pockets, Hot Dog Pockets and Fiber 5 Pockets.
Hot Dog Pockets are an item that enables the deli to piggyback on the huge seasonal demand for grilling sausages and related bread products.
Itsy Bitsy Pockets offer a smaller edible food holder for consumers such as seniors, children and calorie watchers with small appetites or wanting to limit their food consumption. Great for entertaining, these mini pockets enable consumers to serve a variety of small plates – upsizing taste and convenience while downsizing portions.
Each of the new Fiber 5 pockets, in pre-opened and sliced halves, provides 20 percent of the average RDA of fiber. They support consumers’ efforts for good health and a balanced diet who do not want to forgo taste.
A staple in Kangaroo’s innovative specialty bread line, pre-opened Sandwich and Salad Pockets® serve as tasty edible “holders” for fillings and toppings. They are the original thin bread that are the perfect and contemporary tie-in partner for deli-style chicken, tuna and ham salads – less bread, less mess and less bad stuff.
Kangaroo also offers whole and pre-sliced pita pockets and Greek-style Flatbread.
Baked Pita Chips
Relative the other national brands, Kangaroo’s Pita Chips offers 40 percent less fat and 25 percent less sodium, along with great value. They are a light and crunchy snack chip that is easy on salt and oils and high in taste.
The baked pita chips will continue to be available in a variety of flavors and sizes, including a 20-ounce family size, for all selling channels from convenience to club. Along with its popular Sea Salt, Garlic Herb and Zesty Cheddar varieties, Kangaroo will now be offering Multi-Grain Sea Salt in its 6- and 9-ounce bags.
