ST. JOHNS — The cheese plant under-constructionin St. Johns will have the capacity to process a quarter of the milk produced in Michigan each year.
It will employ more than 250 people but has the potential to bring an extra 600 jobs to the local economy because of related businesses and increased demand for retailers and services.
It won't open for two years, yet Rachel Rosendale gets calls about jobs there every day.
