After having built a strong reputation year after year in the confectionery market, Carle&Montanari-OPM, now SACMI Packaging&Chocolate, is strongly approaching bakery industry using the most prominent technology in bakery primary packing, with specific solutions to flow-wrap anything from bread to layer cake, crackers, cookies, wafers and much more.
At IBA 2018 SACMI Packaging&Chocolate presents a solution to package in flowpack style of very delicate products, which can’t be handled with traditional systems.
This solution is well suited to several applications, with special look to the “bakery” world, where the features of flexibility and “handling care” are the skills requested to best preserve the integrity and quality of products, such as baked products that have ingredients on their surface or irregular edges.
The configuration includes the packaging of biscuits, which have been previously grouped into stacks through a loading cell equipped with “Fast Pickers” (Delta) robots.
Thanks to a special SMART PICK gripping system, robots are able to handle single biscuits and form stacks from 1 to 4 pieces, by depositing them synchronized between the lugs of the JT PRO infeed main chain.
Designed with stainless steel frame and with all parts involved in FOOD GRADE standards, this solution meets the highest sanitation criteria for wide production environments and requires extremely simple maintenance in a very short time.
Upon exiting the flowpack JT PRO, the biscuit packs are then placed in boxes through a secondary packaging cell SACMI Packaging&Chocolate, which allows you to form, fill and close boxes through a mono-block frame, friendly use and easy to clean.
The strength of this packaging solution is the quick format change that takes place without tools.
The configuration introduced here at our booth includes an electronic box forming machine. It is about box filling by Fast Pickers and fully electronic controlled box closing system.
As the whole SACMI Packaging&Chocolate range of machines, this solution is also compliant with the requirements of Industry 4.0 and allows connection to factory networks for data collection as predictive as preventative maintenance planning.
