H-E-B plans to create a technology and innovation facility in Austin to bolster its grocery delivery business.
The San Antonio-based grocery retailer announced Wednesday it signed a long-term lease for a recently renovated industrial warehouse at 2416 East Sixth Street, within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and the 7th Street H-E-B store.
The two-story, 81,000-square-foot building will be the new home of H-E-B Digital, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Texas grocery heavyweight, and the corporate headquarters of Favor, a food delivery company H-E-B acquired earlier this year.
