CHATHAM, Mich. – The MSU North Farm continued its short courses program Sunday, Aug. 19.
The farm has hosted these programs for a few years for current and future farmers, and anyone who wants to learn. Sunday's topic – cut flower production.
Participants got both classroom and experiential learning at the afternoon's course. Farmers from the area taught the facts and figures behind cut flower production, and then moved to another farm in the area, Rock River Farm. There participants took part in the hands on portion about harvesting flowers and making bouquets.
