WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Bakers Association is pleased to support students enrolled in the Cookie and Cracker Academy (CCA) by offering discounted registration for the 2018 Technical Conference. The Technical Conference is the largest conference designed specifically for cookie, cracker and baking manufacturing professionals to participate in hands-on training, strengthen skills and knowledge, and engage in powerful industry networking. It will take place Oct. 28-31 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
“ABA is excited to make the 2018 Technical Conference even more accessible to cookie, cracker and baking manufacturing professionals by rewarding companies who invest in employee education through the Cookie and Cracker Academy,” said ABA President & CEO Robb MacKie. “ABA strives to give Academy enrollees a seamless training experience, and this is one way ABA provides integrated training to strengthen the baking industry through robust educational opportunities.”
According to a recent survey, 99 percent of respondents enrolled in CCA indicated that key principles and takeaways from the training were applied immediately in their current position. A recent case study also showed that a large baker manufacturer cut its per-year-loss by approximately $280,000 by reducing the number of bad batches from enrolling employees in ABA’s educational programs.
To benefit from this discount, students must be currently enrolled in the Cookie and Cracker Manufacturing Course (CCMC) or enrolled from July to October 2018 in the Entry Level Training Program, Intermediate Training Course or the CCMC. Students enrolled in the CCMC can also receive a work project credit if they participate in the Hands-On-Training session at the conference.
