Taiwanese orchids have won a silver medal at this year's Chelsea Flower Show, which kicked off Tuesday in London.
The Chelsea Flower Show is a major international event for the global horticulture industry. This year is the first year that Taiwan has been invited to attend the show. It has already been invited to attend next year's event as well.
Taiwan's representative to the UK, Katharine Chang, said that a third of the world's orchids come from Taiwan, which is known as the "kingdom of orchids."
