Crespo Organic Mangoes takes the job of educating mango consumers seriously, as shown in their dedication to teaching folks throughout North America the various nuances of Mexican mango varietals, as well as how to choose, store, cut and use mangoes.
The #ChooseYourCut (How to Cut a Mango) campaign, which started in May and is slated to move through the remainder of the Mexican mango season, highlights consumer trepidation and excitement surrounding the tricky business of cutting and peeling mangoes. Crespo wants to shed light on all that consumers know, as well as all they don’t, when it comes to cutting mangoes and empower them with information and options for successful mango cutting. The campaign provides retailers and distributors with in-store and digital support.
Two new videos released today by the Crespo Organic Kitchen, Extra-Ordinary People Cut Mangoes & More Extra-Ordinary People CutTing Mangoes; features consumers, friends, colleagues and industry folks from the USA & Mexico and shows the rainbow of choices people are making when it comes to How to Cut a Mango. #KidsCutMangoes, Crespo’s educational campaign created to recognize and inspire the kitchen abilities of children, demonstrates some pretty amazing knife skills in the video from some of the many Crespo niños who love mangoes.
The campaign touts loudly that there is no one way to cut a mango, but rather the best method is one that matches the eaters kitchen know how and knife skills with the ripeness of the mango. The goal of the Crespo Organic Kitchen is to prove that the art of choosing and using mangoes is a relatively simple process and just takes enthusiasm and some tid bits of knowledge.
The Crespo Organic Kitchen, partners with Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center, whose focus is on local, organic, fairtrade and sustainable food and produce education. The partnership aims to give mango eaters useful, relevant, practical tips, tricks, recipes and general know how, that make the mango experience more enjoyable. “We see time and time again in our face-to-face encounters with consumers a great deal of mango confusion. We want to inspire them and make them feel more at ease when practicing and playing with mangoes in their kitchens”, says Nissa Pierson who manages sales and marketing for Crespo Organic Mangoes, also the founder of Ger- Nis Culinary & Herb Center. “We are all just a little more information away from having a better mango experience.”
