Bakersfield, Calif. – Sun World Innovations has added two Italian grape companies, Orchidea Frutta and Salvi Group, to its list of licensees worldwide. The partnership with Sun World will allow Orchidea Frutta and the Salvi Group to expand their seedless grape production in a country where the majority of grapes are seeded and gives them access to domestic and international markets.
Orchidea Frutta, based in Rutigliano, Italy specializes in the production and distribution of table grapes, cherries, citrus fruits, peaches, nectarines, apricots and artichokes. For each of these products Orchidea Frutta offers a full range of different varieties, in order to meet the demands of the global market. Orchidea Frutta also manages a 350 hectare vineyard.
Salvi Group is a vertically-integrated nursery-producer-importer-exporter based in Ferrara, Italy with interest in table grapes, kiwis, pears, apples, citrus, strawberries, peaches and nectarines, apricots and plums. As one of Italy’s leading fruit companies, it was founded 109 years ago with its plant operations spread across Italy, France, and Poland and supplying 60 countries on five continents with their produce today. Its grape production takes place in the city of Rutigliano supplying grapes from July-November.

The two new licensees join more than 70 licensed marketers around the world who sell Sun World fruit varieties.
