Stemilt Helps Retailers Earn Their Pot Of Gold With Seasonal Sticker

WENATCHEE, Wash. – The countdown is on until the luckiest day of the year and Stemilt Growers is offering retailers a chance to promote St. Patrick’s Day and its green-hued Granny Smith apples through a seasonal leprechaun sticker on various pouch bag items.

Back by popular demand for the second straight year, Stemilt’s St. Patrick’s Day sticker is available now for a very limited time. Stemilt’s marketing director, Roger Pepperl believes it is an excellent way to incorporate the holiday into last minute promotions leading up to March 17th.

"The sticker is a great way for retailers to get involved in the green-focused holiday quickly and easily. It’s festive and is applied by Stemilt on our popular 5lb. Apple Lover and other branded pouch bags,” says Pepperl.

The seasonal sticker features a leprechaun jumping over a pot of gold, and is available for several of Stemilt’s pouch bags, including: 5lb. Apple Lover and Artisan Organics™ Apple Lover, 5lb. Fresh Blenders™ juicing apples, and 4lb. Artisan Organics™ Fresh Blenders™.

Fresh Blenders™ juicing apples can also help retailers tap into March’s National Nutrition Month, and make a great offering for dietitian pick programs.

“We have been working closely with retailers to establish a simple way to get involved in this fun holiday for last minute promotions,” states Pepperl. “This is a great way for retailers to promote these pouch bags in a festive way, while still pushing more volume through the register.”

Stemilt recommends that retailers feature multiple apple varieties on ad starting the week of March 12th, and use the popular green Granny Smith as part of their large displays. Retailers should also capitalize on organic apple promotions for St. Patty’s Day with multiple varieties that also include the green organic Granny Smith apple.

“This sticker is ideal for our 5 and 4 pound pouch bags because they are great items for in-and-outs. There’s no better way to reach the ‘pot of gold’ for your apple category than by moving more volume through the register via creative and fun seasonal promotions like this,” said Pepperl.
