Cleveland's The Bagel Shoppe Sold

Cleveland is on the upswing, according to Dovid Greenberger, and he doesn’t want to hold back from capitalizing on it, leading him to sell The Bagel Shoppe and FreshKo Foods, both in South Euclid, after 13 years. He will become the general manager of Seasons, a kosher grocery store expected to open in the summer in South Euclid.

The sale became final Feb. 16 and the new owners are Paci Elbaum, who is returning to the shop after working in a family catering business in Milwaukee for the past three years, and Shloime Klein of Cleveland Heights.

They can already be found in the store managing production for the shop and FreshKo Foods, which was developed by Greenberger to serve kosher packaged food at Heinen’s Grocery Store in University Heights, and later Twinsburg. The new owners also have added some of the FreshKo Food options in The Bagel Shoppe for those wanting a grab-and-go snack in the morning.
