SYRACUSE, N.Y. – American Dairy Association North East will host celebrity author and speaker Nina Teicholz at the 2018 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit on Wednesday, Feb. 21. The event, hosted by the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania and the Center for Dairy Excellence, runs from Feb. 21-22, at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, Pennsylvania.
Teicholz’s book, “The Big Fat Surprise, Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet,” delves into her investigation that debunks the idea that eliminating fats from the human diet is healthy. Her research shows that more, not less, dietary fat – including saturated fat – is what leads to better health, wellness and fitness.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to bring Ms. Teicholz to the Dairy Summit, to share her research on the importance of incorporating fat into the diet – specifically meat, cheese and whole milk,” said Rick Naczi, CEO of American Dairy Association North East. “This groundbreaking information is helping boost consumption of our products, which in turn helps our dairy farmers’ bottom lines.”
Teicholz will kick off the Dairy Summit at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21. For more information about the presentation, contact Industry Communications Specialist Jean Kummer of American Dairy Association North East, at jkummer@milk4u.org.
