Organic Bakery Lands $500,000 Investment, Will Resume Production Tuesday

Ending an eight-week shutdown, Lancaster Food Co. will resume production on Tuesday after raising $500,000 from nine investors.

Co-founder and CEO Charlie Crystle said Friday that the company is “very fortunate and grateful” for the chance to reopen its doors “and get back to what was a rapid growth rate.”

The small, certified organic-bread bakery, which has drawn national attention for its social mission, is set to resume deliveries Thursday.
