DOWNERS GROVE, IL – For more than 25 years, National Garden Bureau (NGB) has been showcasing and promoting their member’s new plant varieties in the inspirational program appropriately named “New Plants.”
December is when many are planning their product line-up and garden selections for 2018. Nowhere else is there such a complete selection of the newest varieties available for the coming year than at https://ngb.org/new-plants/
Growers and Garden retailers: Search through 100+ new plants to find what your customers are clamoring for! You might have seen some of them at the 2017 CA Spring Trials or summer trade shows, but certainly not all!
Garden Communicators: This is your one-stop-shop for the newest of the new! Some of you got a sneak peak of these new varieties at the 2017 GWA Symposium in Buffalo but certainly not all! Use this link to view ornamentals and this link to view edibles, both of which are a great tool to help you plan your 2018 blogs, articles, videos, radio shows and more.
Photos, descriptions and other resources are available on National Garden Bureau’s website: www.ngb.org.
Promotion Works
NGB has long been promoting its member’s new plants. Over time, this program has generated tremendous consumer and industry publicity. The entire industry—breeders, brokers, seed companies, growers, nurseries and garden centers—are urged to highlight these flowers and plants when planning their 2018 marketing.
Publicity of the 2018 “New Plants” to the garden writer community began in August 2017 during the GWA Annual Symposium in the NGB sponsored “New Plant Showcase”. Publicity direct to the consumer will begin in January 2018 via the NGB e-newsletters and Social media posts. Visit the National Garden Bureau website to download photos, logos, slide shows and much more. These tools will help the home garden industry promote these new varieties to consumers and encourage gardening.
Speakers who are speaking about new varieties can download PowerPoint presentations for edibles and/or ornamentals from the NGB SlideShare account.
Join the NGB Social Media community, now almost 65,000 strong! Follow NGB on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram and share the posts about these featured products.
