Frick’s Quality Meats Embarks On Expansion

The construction bid for improvements to the Schulze Industrial Park stormwater detention system funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) was awarded last week.

The Washington City Council voted Monday, Dec. 4, to award the contract to Pangea Group, St. Louis, the low bidder for the work. The contract is for $654,964.

The CDBG was approved by the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) and will be utilized to accommodate the expansion of Frick’s Quality Meats.

The company is a embarking on an $8 million expansion in Washington, resulting in the creation of 40 new jobs for the community.
