Monterey Mushrooms Donates To Hurricane Relief Efforts

The employees at the Monterey Mushroom farms across the United States and Mexico send our thoughts and prayers to those affected by the recent hurricane activities that has impacted Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

To support the hurricane relief efforts, company employees raised more than $26,000 in donations that was matched by President Shah Kazemi for a total of more than $52,000.  In addition, the company donated more than 30,000 cases of frozen vegetarian mushroom products to food banks in several states; each case represents 30 meals so more than 900,000 servings.

We appreciate our customers’patience and understanding as we recover from the heavy blow our farm in Orlando received from Hurricane Irma that disrupted our supply chain. We invite our colleagues in the produce industry to join us in contributing to the relief efforts at the following organizations American Red CrossUnicef and United for Puerto Rico.
