Spartan Stores’ Medallion Campaign Supports Special Olympics

May 6, 2010, Grand Rapids, Michigan – Special Olympics athletes throughout Michigan are training and preparing for the upcoming State Summer Games on June 3–5. To help support this 3-day athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Spartan Stores, through its D&W Fresh Markets, Family Fare Supermarkets, Felpausch Food Centers, Glen’s Markets and VG’s Food & Pharmacy locations and other participating supplied stores, is pleased to announce the sale of Special Olympics fundraising medallions through May 22. In return for the $1 donation per medallion, customers receive 4 coupons valued at over $2.80.

Customers who wish to “Be a Fan” of Special Olympics and support this worthy cause can make their donation for a medallion(s) at the checkout of D&W Fresh Markets, Family Fare Supermarkets, Felpausch Food Centers, Glen’s Markets and VG’s Food & Pharmacy throughout Michigan, as well as other independently-owned stores supplied by Spartan Stores.
