State Garden, a Chelsea family business that supplies lettuce and other salad ingredients to supermarkets throughout the Northeast, said its Olivia Organics brand is launching its first single-serve salads, which are called Single-To-Go Salads.
With a suggested retail price of $2.99, the single-serve offerings come in three choices: spring mix salad with balsamic dressing, classic crisp chopped romaine salad with garlic croutons and Caesar dressing, and a baby spinach salad with ranch dressing, the company said. Each individual salad comes with a plastic fork and is delivered in recyclable packaging that doubles as a bowl.
