Sierra Nevada Cheese Company Announces Russian-Style, Fresh 'Farmer Cheese'

Willows, CA — Sierra Nevada Cheese Co. began producing Gina Marie Farmer Cheese based in May 2017. The product is based on Gina Marie Cream Cheese, which has been California’s natural, premier cream cheese of choice for more than 50 years. Our Farmer Cheese is fresh, cultured cheese; a great alternative to cream cheese.

Gina Marie Farmer Cheese is made with three simple ingredients—cultured milk freshly sourced from local dairies, cream and salt—in an old-fashioned, three-day process that requires draining the cream cheese in muslin bags. Our Farmer Cheese has 30% less Calories, 40% less Fat and 20% less Cholesterol than Gina Marie Cream Cheese. It has live probiotic cultures, is rBST free and Kosher. Use Farmer Cheese as a filling for blintzes, lasagna or filled pasta, make a cheesecake or other baked desserts, spread on toast or bagels, or use as a less salty alternative to feta.

Sierra Nevada Cheese Company strives to create the best tasting dairy products by keeping true to our own philosophy: A clean ingredient list, coupled with traditional manufacturing methods. We use only natural, wholesome ingredients and milk and cream from local Northern California producers who guarantee their product is free of synthetic hormones and antibiotics. Additionally, our organic diary partners practice animal welfare standards outline by American Humane Association.
