Fresh & Green’s Replacing A&P Locations In Maryland & Washington DC

SCARSDALE, NY – Natural Market Restaurants Corporation ("Natural Market") is pleased to announce that Fresh & Green's has opened eight locations in Maryland and Washington, DC. As an important part of the community and everyday life, each Fresh & Green's location will deliver an unmatched, one-stop grocery shopping experience with a greater choice in affordable conventional, natural and prepared foods. Natural Market acquired these locations from The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., which operated them under the Super Fresh banner.

As of July 17th, 2011 all eight stores have been staffed and restocked and are now open for business, avoiding lengthy closures. Full refurbishment of the stores will be scheduled and announced at a later date. "Our number one priority has been to prepare staff and to ramp up the product supply. We will continue to expand inventories so our customers can expect to enjoy an even greater selection of their favorite brands, along with new and healthier options, including nutritious prepared meals, natural local and organic foods," says Williams.
Fresh & Green's is a new and inviting grocery store concept that presents customers with affordable natural and healthy food choices, while still providing all the conventional food products and brands that customers enjoy. The shopping experience is a key element of the store concept, featuring educated service staff and a welcoming and informed customer environment.
Natural Market operates several food retail and restaurant banners in both the US and Canada, including Mrs. Green's Natural Market food stores in the US northeast and a soon-to-be-opened 30,000-square-foot Wilde & Greene flagship restaurant and natural food store in the Chicago area.
