Madison, WI — The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association™ (IDDBA) added Giada De Laurentiis to the speaker lineup at IDDBA 17. Her presentation is titled, “It Started in the Kitchen.” IDDBA 17 runs June 4-6 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
Emmy Award winning television personality, New York Times bestselling author, Today correspondent, Food Network Star judge, restaurateur, and chef, Giada De Laurentiis has an impressive list of accomplishments.
Born in Rome, Giada found her passion for food at a young age, because growing up in a large Italian family, food culture was a staple. Trained professionally at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, she specialized in cuisine and pastry and when she returned to America, worked at many Los Angeles restaurants. Her career took off after she starred on the Food Network in 2002 and she has become one of their most recognizable faces from her Emmy Award winning cooking show, Everyday Italian, which features quick, healthy, and satisfying Italian dishes.
Giada has also authored eight cookbooks, and writes a series for young readers that explores cities around the world, including youth-friendly recipes. She recently launched her lifestyle site, Giadzy, that features videos, recipes, advice, and entertaining and lifestyle tips. And in the spirit of giving back, Giada is active with The Kitchen Community and many organizations that raise money and awareness for cancer.
Do you have something you’ve always wanted to ask Giada? Bring your questions to this general session!
