AmericanHort will work with the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association (ONLA) to help advance the green industry and member companies.
Ken Fisher, AmericanHort President and CEO, will begin strategically working with the ONLA Board of Directors and ONLA’s Columbus-based staff as their Executive Director. The focus will be on a strategic assessment of organizational priorities and resources to ensure maximum effectiveness, support, and results for ONLA member businesses. Fisher will also be leading directives on resource optimization, staff coaching and development, and accomplishment of overall association deliverables and goals.
AmericanHort has nearly a decade of experience providing management services to other national and state associations. Currently, AmericanHort provides oversight and management to the Nursery and Landscape Association Executives (NLAE) of North America. These partnerships allow for stronger collaboration and pooling of resources to support the industry’s vast business network, as well as combine efforts behind critical industry issues, including labor, young professional engagement, research, business oversight, and federal legislation.
“The success of state-based organizations is critical to the overall health of the industry. I’m looking forward to working with the ONLA staff and volunteer leadership to grow and improve the organization in ways that will allow ONLA to better serve and support their members,” said Fisher.
Josh Posey, President of ONLA and Buckeye Resources, Inc. adds, “ONLA’s relaunch of MGIX was very successful and helped build positive momentum for the association and its member businesses. ONLA has several opportunities to carry this momentum forward, and we are eager for Ken’s guidance to hone in on specific steps that will increase member services and promote the continued growth of the Ohio green industry.”
