The Monterey Bay Aquarium is encouraging Bay Area residents to make every day Earth Day by using its "super green" seafood list to pick foods that are good for both people and the environment.
The list features seafoods that have low levels of contaminants, the daily recommended minimum amount of omega-3, and are classified as an environmentally friendly "best choice" by Seafood Watch.
It includes wild Alaskan salmon, wild albacore tuna from the U.S. or British Columbia, farmed mussels and oysters, wild pink shrimp from Oregon, farmed rainbow trout and freshwater Coho Salmon from the U.S.
