WASHINGTON, DC – The American Bakers Association (ABA) is pleased to announce that longtime friend of ABA and Director of Golf at Caves Valley Golf Club, Dennis Satyshur, will serve as the tournament pro during the 2017 Paul Abenante PEC Golf Tournament on Tuesday, March 28, at the ABA Convention in Boca Raton, Fla.
Satyshur has devoted his career to improving golf in every dimension of the game, including mentoring PGA Professionals. He also demonstrates an exemplary ability to personalize the golf experience. Satyshur is a terrific ambassador for Caves Valley Golf Club and is considered a highlight of the tournament by the golfers. This year he will be joined by World Long Drive Champion Dan Boever, who ranks among the most popular performers on the golf exhibition circuit. Known for his quick wit and impressive repertoire of trick shots, Boever’s unique blend of skills is sure to be an attraction for the golfers.
“It is always an honor to be on the golf course with Dennis as he helps golfers hone their skills,” said tournament Co-coordinator Phil Burris of D. Thomas & Associates, Inc.
Fellow tournament Co-coordinator Pete Frederick of Grain Craft added, “We anticipate another standout year for the golf tournament, and I expect a highly entertaining one as we welcome Dan Boever to the fun.”
Sponsored by BEMA, Bühler Inc., Kwik Lok Corp., and sponsoring members of the Allied Trades of the Baking Industry, the tournament will continue to boast the hole-in-one prize, the BEMA Golf Hole and the Pro Hole. There are several prizes being offered at the BEMA Hole for all levels of players.
The Paul Abenante PEC Golf Tournament is designed as a fun event for golfers of all abilities to join in support of ABA’s political education activities. The proceeds of the tournament are invested in critically important programs such as ABA’s “Rise to Action” grassroots program, congressional directories, and acquisition of high-profile speakers. It’s also designed for bakers and suppliers to maximize their ABA Convention experience in a relaxed and casual atmosphere for networking.
