Spanish lemons have been a great addition over the last several years to our Mexican Lemon program and helps our customers keep a consistent flow of quality product as production shifts from growing areas. Experience has been a large factor in helping to secure and grow these types of European opportunities. Spain continues to be one of the major suppliers of lemons to Europe, so to be able to secure product to come to the United States has become a sense of pride. It helps continue our Vision Companies “ Direct Link to the Grower” company tag line.
Per Raul Millan, Executive Vice President Vision Import Group, “This is our 4th consecutive season importing from Spain, initial quality on our first few containers has been excellent and our customers have had a smooth transition from our Mexican program to the Spanish lemons. We are currently packing in 15kg carton boxes, in the near future we will also be offering 18kg cartons. Our lemons are Cat 1 and are stickered (PLU) We expect to have consistent arrivals from Spain till the end of May”.

The Vision Cos. are comprised of Vision Produce Co. in Los Angeles, a Partnership with Vision Import Group located in Hackensack, NJ. While the two companies do business in slightly different ways, their shared unified national distribution enables Nationwide Brand marketing.
They also maintain an office in Pharr, TX, which is used for quality control and distribution. It is operated under the Vision Import Group banner. Vision Produce Co also has sales and distribution from Phoenix and Nogales in addition to Los Angeles. Under the Vision banner are also a truck company, VPC Freight Solutions, and a Truck brokerage business SW Truck Brokers, both operating from Phoenix, Az.
Vision Import Group markets products to customers east of the Mississippi River, and Vision Produce Co. handles the western portion of the nation. Both companies market Van Gogh mangos and Mojito, Havana and Mr. Squeeze limes and lemons. Vision Produce Co. also sells limes under the Bonito, Tropic Star and Logger brands.
Bill Vogel, president and chief executive officer of Vision Produce Co. is the major shareholder along with other West Coast key employees in that company. Vision Produce Co partnered with Raul Millan, executive vice president and Ron Cohen, VP of Sales, in 2007 to form Vision Import Group in New Jersey.
