ATLANTIC CITY — Local public school students have eaten bread and rolls from the city’s Formica Bros. Bakery for at least a half-dozen years.
But bakery owner Frank Formica told the local school board Tuesday night he was recently notified by Sodexo, the food service provider for the district, that it would no longer use him as a vendor. He said he is also losing his account with the Pleasantville schools, which also uses Sodexo.
“In order to keep people employed, we rely on local business,” he said. “It will put us in a hardship position.”
