Flowers For Dreams Brings Its Burlap-Wrapped Bouquets To Milwaukee

Chicago-based floral design and delivery service Flowers for Dreams has expanded to its second market, Milwaukee.

The four-year-old company has grown slowly but steadily, reaching about $3 million in revenue in 2016 and delivering across Chicago as well as up to 70 miles in any direction from the Loop, said CEO and co-founder Steven Dyme. Flowers for Dreams creates fresh bouquets in-house and donates a quarter of its profits to charities.

In 2016, Flowers for Dreams became a B Corporation, a third-party certification that indicates the company adheres to certain social and environmental standards. It also launched a free wedding magazine to provide marketing support to a growing wedding business that could contribute half of the company's revenue this year, Dyme said. The magazine, One Fourth, is available at Chicago businesses including Brideside in the West Loop and Floating World Gallery in Lincoln Park.
