Pomeroy, OH — ’Tis the season for nogs, and Snowville Creamery’s new Spice Nog will be in your grocer’s dairy case in time for Thanksgiving. Snowville founders Warren and Victoria Taylor were inspired to create an eggless version of this holiday beverage because their own daughter, Celeste, suffers from egg allergies.
“Eggnog has been a part of holiday traditions since the 19th century, but many people can’t enjoy traditional nog due to allergies,” said Taylor. “For Celeste and others like her who are allergic to eggs, we were intrigued with the challenge of making a holiday nog using only milk, cream, sugar and spice. And we were successful.”
Snowville Creamery Spice Nog is perfect for holiday entertaining and celebrations. It is inspired by the age-old tradition of sharing rich, creamy spiced beverages, often served in a “noggin,” a Middle English term for a wooden mug. Snowville Creamery nog can be enjoyed cold or hot.
In addition, Snowville’s nog is produced using milk from cows that have been tested and verified to have only A2/A2 genetics. A2/A2 refers to a variation of protein found in cows’ milk, which some research has shown to be easier to digest than the A1 milk that is predominantly produced by cows in the U.S.
Snowville Creamery Spice Nog can be purchased at approximately 40 Whole Foods Markets throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region; Giant Eagles throughout Columbus, Ohio; Heinen’s Grocery Stores in Cleveland, and many other retail locations. The suggested retail price is $7.50 for a half-gallon.
Snowville Creamery recently introduced its A2/A2 milk and yogurts, as well.
Founded in 2007 by Taylor and his wife, Victoria, Snowville Creamery connects sustainable Ohio family dairy farms with discerning milk and yogurt lovers. Snowville Creamery’s extraordinary milks come from grass-grazed cows eating only non-GMO feed. The company’s fresh milk is produced without the use of rBST (artificial bovine growth hormones). In addition, the milk is not homogenized so the cream rises to the top.
