ANN ARBOR, MI – Avalon International Breads, a Detroit-based bakery, is bringing sourdough loaves and handcrafted sweets to Ann Arbor with the opening of a café-style retail location in the former Mezzevino Mediterranean Kitchen and Bar.
Jackie Victor helped found and currently leads the company as its chief executive officer, and said the Avalon Hearth and Soul Café and Kitchen would be open by the end of the year at 129 E. Liberty Street.
"We are excited about not only bringing Avalon baked goods… but also going a little bit further and taking this passion and enthusiasm and having a café setting that features our bread and a focus on locally-grown food," Victor said.
