HAWKEYE, Iowa – The trends in yogurt consumption have turned out to be a robust business for a Fayette County dairy that started out small.
"You've got to get the product in their mouths," said Bob Howard, the marketing and sales manager at Country View Dairy, just northeast of Hawkeye. "Once they try it, they'll buy it."
This approached worked at the regional markets to get people to sample the product. Yet the growth in Greek-style yogurt has led Country View to get into places that are not traditional stores but still have the potential to reach thousands of customers each day.
