Texas, already densely populated with supermarkets, might be getting more crowded.
Germany-based Lidl, a low-cost grocer, told the Houston Business Journal that it is looking to open stores in Texas but declined to name specific locations.
The company had previously announced an expansion into the eastern U.S., but not specifically into Texas.
