Watsonville, CA – For the past few months two new team members at Sambrailo Packaging have been applying their passion for agriculture to their jobs and have quickly added depth to the Sambrailo Packaging team. Both natives of the Pajaro Valley, Marlen Fuentes and Matt Manfre, joined Sambrailo in May.
Marlen Fuentes is the new Master Planner for Sambrailo Packaging. She brings 10 years of packaging experience to the company, with four of those years as an operations coordinator. Her passion for Ag goes back to growing up when her father was a raspberry grower for Driscoll’s in the early ‘80s. At Sambrailo, Marlen reviews forecasts, monitors inventories, and plans the releases of product to various Sambrailo warehouses in the U.S. “The activities, sounds and smells at our warehouses are all very familiar to me from my childhood and make me feel at home,” stated Fuentes. As the growing season for berries in Mexico gets underway, she is also planning and monitoring production and managing inventories for all of Sambrailo’s customers in Mexico.
Matt Manfre is a new Account Manager in the sales department at Sambrailo Packaging. With prior sales experience at a lumber company in the Napa Valley, it was his ties to his family and to agriculture that brought Matt back to the Pajaro Valley. Matt’s main focus in sales at Sambrailo is to work with row crop growers to ensure that they have the cartons and all of the other value-added items that they need in one place. “It is my goal to ensure that we efficiently manage packaging production, inventory, and issuance for my customers, so that they can focus on growing quality produce,” stated Manfre. “Coming from an Ag family, I know how important it is to work with a responsive and caring partner.” Come by Booth #2365 to meet Matt at PMA Fresh Summit 2016.
