NEW YORK — Showcasing the best in fine French cheese, a limited-time cheese pop-up at the French Cheese Board this weekend will commemorate Ile De France's 80th anniversary with activities that allow you to discover – and enjoy – the art of French fromage.
Ile De France, the first-ever brie cheese introduced in the United States (brought overseas in an oceanliner of the same name in 1936!), will be showcasing its best-selling Brie and Camembert, along with Saint André (as featured on the "best burger in the city" at Raoul's!), Saint Agur and more of the latest and greatest imported fine French cheeses.
Open to the public with cheese school classes available on a first-come basis, visitors can taste – brie, goat cheese, camembert and more – learn the art of assemblage and pairings, create custom cheese plates, purchase special cheese offerings with limited-time pricing, and more!
