Less than a week after the launch of Meijer's home delivery service in metro Detroit, Shipt Inc., an app-based grocery delivery service company that's working with the Grand Rapids-based retailer on the service, announced it will hire 200 additional shoppers.
Before the launch of the service Sept. 15, Alabama-based Shipt hired 300 shoppers. The service is available to metro Detroit residents living as far north as Lake Orion and as far south as Wayne seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Over the past week, a handful of customers Tweeted at Shipt and Meijer that there were no delivery times available.
