Bakers Praise Senate GMO Labeling Passage, Implore House Action

WASHINGTON D.C. – The American Bakers Association (ABA) applauds members of the Senate on final passage of the Roberts-Stabenow GMO Labeling Agreement.

“Bakers nationwide would like to thank the 63 members of the Senate who voted in favor of this common sense uniform GMO labeling standard,” said Robb MacKie, ABA President and CEO. “We implore the House of Representatives to immediately pass this strong bi-partisan bill before leaving town for August recess, and provide the baking industry with the certainty needed to continue distributing their wholesome products.”

"ABA congratulates Chairman Roberts, Ranking Member Stabenow, and members of their staffs, for all their tireless work on this top issue and their continued support of the food industry,” added MacKie.
