David Gremmels Elected To Specialty Food Board

New York – The Specialty Food Association (SFA) announced today that David Gremmels, President of Rogue Creamery, has been elected to its Board of Directors. When asked about the election, Gremmels said “I am honored by the memberships support of my position on the Specialty Food Associations board of directors.   This is a pivotal time in our industry with regulatory, environmental and consumer demands and I believe my skills and leadership style represent well the diversity and needs of the Specialty Food membership. My experience is gained from sustainable business and social benefit leadership at multiple levels including retail, mail order, cheese make and organic farming”.

The SFA is a thriving community of food artisans, importers and entrepreneurs who bring craft, care and joy to the distinctive foods they produce; the 3,000 member not -for-profit trade association represents all segments of the $120 billion U.S. specialty food industry and member companies abroad. The SFA Board of Directors helps guide, determine policy, and shape the future of the Association and contributes to the growth of the specialty food industry. All Directors must have strong financial, organizational, and management skills. In 2015, David was honored with the Specialty Food Association Business Leadership Award which recognizes members who have gone above and beyond in advancing food standards in society–and society itself–by creating social, economic and environmental impact through innovation and vision.
