Chairman Bob Mariano will be the namesake for Roundys Supermarkets Inc. when it opens its first Chicago-area store this summer.
Milwaukee-based Roundys announced Monday that the name for its new Chicago stores will be Marianos Fresh Market. Roundys said the name is a nod to the Italian culinary heritage of Roundys CEO Bob Mariano.
The new stores will reflect old-world adherence to quality and personal service, blended with Marianos signature approach to supermarket innovation, the companys announcement said.
