Little Blue Mussels Are Big Business In Newfoundland And Labrador

Dr. Harry Murray is the mussel man for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Newfoundland and Labrador.

While he loves studying the blue bivalve — known better as mussels — Murray can't ever indulge in a steaming bowl of the shellfish.

"I'm allergic," said Murray. "I can work with them, no problem, but if I eat them I get viciously sick."
