Production By National Watermelon Promotion Board Nominated In Two Categories

Detroit, MI — The latest follow-up educational video that supports of the rock & roll nutrition show Jump with Jill currently touring the country has been nominated for two Emmy Awards. The Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced this week that the interactive music video about naturally sweet fruit The Sweet Beat was nominated in the Craft Speciality-Musical Composition/Arrangement and Director – Non-Live (Post Produced). Jump with Jill creator Jill Jayne along with her creative team will attend the awards ceremony on Saturday, June 18th in Detroit to learn if they will take a statue home to proudly dust for the rest of their lives.

The project was produced by the National Watermelon Promotion Board and aired by Maranda on WOTV4. With each color fruit, the static background transitions to a new school-themed scene with carefully crafted art design. As the video builds, the scenes are slowed down and merged to create the swirl of color that should fill your plate and your shopping cart for a healthy diet. Viewers interact with the video by making their own Sweet Beats with their two favorite fruits and their own dance moves using the provided audio track at jumpwithjill.com/sweet.

“We are really ecstatic that our nutrition education program is being recognized for excellence in entertainment,” said Jayne. “Our job with producing this video was to make the rainbow of flavors of fruit irresistibly cool.” And that they did, using aggressive, synthetic music production that a b-boy dance crew could throw down to.

“At Jump with Jill, we make healthy foods as fun to experience as brands that sell food that is terrible for you,” continues Jayne. “We hope that awards like this help get our show and our tools noticed – nutrition does not have to be a boring topic!”
