Sturgis Shrimp Company Begins Harvesting Crop

An old farm has turned into a local pioneering effort by two Sturgis men.

Located in Howe, Ind., Sturgis Shrimp Company is open.

The shrimp — yes, those little prawns people love to eat — are grown and harvested in saltwater tanks. The architects of the organization, Brandon Kent and Mark Larimer, are a pair of hard-working guys with the knack for something different.

Sturgis Shrimp Company is better than 1,000 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, but that’s not stopping them from bringing a quality product.
